M.E. VLSI Design

About the VLSI Program

The VLSI Program was started in the year 2012 under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering with the goal of fostering our students' growth via hard effort into deserving and disciplined engineers.

From Code to Silicon

As students learn VLSI, they discover how a simple idea written in code becomes a real chip inside a mobile phone or laptop. VLSI design teaches how circuits are designed, tested, and optimized for speed, power, and area. It connects classroom concepts like digital electronics and semiconductor physics with real-world applications.

Designing the Future

Today, VLSI Design is at the heart of technologies such as smartphones, AI chips, IoT devices, and 5G communication. For ECE students, VLSI opens the door to exciting careers in the semiconductor industry and research. Learning VLSI means designing the future—one chip at a time.

Vision

To be a center of excellence in VLSI design education and research by producing highly skilled, innovative, and ethical professionals who contribute to advancements in semiconductor technology and meet the evolving needs of industry and society.

Mission

01

To impart strong theoretical and practical knowledge in VLSI design, semiconductor devices, and integrated circuit technologies.

02

To develop industry-ready professionals through training in advanced VLSI tools, design methodologies, and fabrication processes.

03

To promote research, innovation, and design excellence in low-power, high-speed, and high-density integrated circuits.

04

To enhance analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for designing and optimizing complex VLSI systems.
