About IT Department

The Department of Information Technology introduced in the year 2023, a four-year undergraduate program, B.Tech in Information Technology, starting with an initial intake of 60 students. Our committed faculty members are dedicated to nurturing academic excellence, high-quality work, and teamwork among students. With a focus on fostering student innovation, we prioritize staying abreast of emerging technological advancements and promoting collaborative learning throughout the program. Through partnerships with various organizations, our department actively strives to pioneer innovative strategies.

Why IT @ SVCET

State-of-the-art infrastructure includes over 500 systems with high-speed internet connectivity up to 50 Mbps.

The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring seamless connectivity.

Our labs feature cutting-edge computer systems with the latest configurations and centralized AC facilities.

Department students have access to industry-grade, high-end lab infrastructure to undertake project work in collaboration with companies like Arrow Machine Tools, Spark Stablizers & Power Products, Sri Ragavendra Homes, Vision Isoftech, Delux Rubber Industries, Swan Hi-Tech Solution, Plant Green Inetia, Orisenc Technologies Pvt starting from their third year.

Our students consistently achieve a 95% placement rate, with the highest salary package reaching 7 lakhs per annum.

Our distinguished faculty includes experienced and qualified members, including three doctorates and two supervisors recognized by Anna University.

We encourage students to participate in a wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

Students have access to digital library facilities.

The Department of Information Technology is dedicated to produce Software Engineers with basic knowledge in math develop problem solving skills necessary for the career advancement in Computer Science / IT & allied disciplines, and practice.
