CSE (Cyber Security)

About Cybersecurity

  • Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and data from digital attacks. As technology and internet usage grow, cyber threats such as hacking, malware, phishing, and data breaches are increasing rapidly. Cybersecurity ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of information.
  • For engineering students, cybersecurity combines networking, operating systems, cryptography, and ethical hacking. Students learn how attacks occur and how to prevent them using secure systems and defense mechanisms.
  • Cybersecurity plays a vital role in banking, healthcare, e-commerce, government, cloud computing, and IoT systems. With rising cyber threats, skilled cybersecurity professionals are in high demand. Learning cybersecurity enables engineering students to safeguard digital assets and build a safer digital future.

Vision

"To make our department a center of Excellence of academic and human resources in cyber security domain and use different security-based tools to promote cyber awareness and cyber safety."

Mission

  • To be one of the excellent standards of quality education in Cyber Security with rapidly changing modern technologies, and research.
  • The mission of Cyber Security is to reduce risks to the digital assets of our Nation.
  • To showcase to the industry the environment and skills of the students who are a part of the research center.
  • To provide a platform for the industry to train its employees in cybersecurity.
  • To assist industry and Government in cyber forensics.
